Singing Success - A comparison with Singorama

I can verify that Singing Success is a great product, let’s be honest, Brett wouldn’t be selling it and staking his reputation on it if it wasn’t. That said, surely Singing Success isn’t the only product available. Over the last while I’ve been examining the pros and cons of Singing Success in comparison against another leading vocal training kit. Emily Mander’s Singorama is not as well known as Singing Success, nor does it have the real celebrity endorsement, but just how does it fare?

Singing Success offers a huge selection of resources available, giving you a fun, safe and reasonably quick method to improve your singing - signing up to the program also offers you a wide selection of online tools too.

Singorama, on the other hand, doesn’t provide as many “learning materials” but does offer a course suitable for any type of singer. Singorama offers more in terms of actual useable software, including Jayde Musica Pro, something which Singing Success doesn’t deliver. Singorama also offers free telephone and email support.

I think the obvious advantage for Singing Success is the reputation of Brett Manning as a teacher. Putting his great technical skills alongside his motivataional skills offers a fantastic opportunity for you to learn. Singorama delivers the software and is easy to pick up and learn but for me, I think it fails just on going that extra mile to improve you voice.

Final verdict, Singorama 8/10, Singing Success 9/10.

Singing Success Improves Tone Quality

Tone quality improves when the correct musculature is engaged in the singing process. Feel underneath your chin with your forefinger and slide it inwards to the point where your neck meets the muscles under your chin. Now swallow. Notice how your larynx (Adam’s apple) raises up and the muscles under your chin tighten up as you swallow? These muscles that are engaged in the swallowing process are opposed to those engaged in the singing process. The use of these muscles while singing creates a myriad of problems that can take years to correct if left unchecked. For good tone quality, you must learn to sing without the outer muscles of the larynx. Doing so will set free your natural voice, drastically improving tone quality and ease of use. Singing Success could be one step along to way to helping you a get that record deal. Sounds easy put like that, doesn’t it? Singing Success creator Brett Manning certainly beleives so as he has outlined three steps that you have to take along the way, whether you use Singing Success or not!

Firstly, increase your vocal range. Quite bluntly, the greater your range, the more exciting and confident your singing will be. Singing Success will help you with this, but if you choose not to use this product, it is imperative you find a vocal coach who can teach you how to mix your speaking voice with your singing voice.

Secondly, you need influences. This doesn’t mean ripping off other artists, this means being inspired by other artists. The world doesn’t need another Britney Spears or another Keith Urban, it needs you. However, if you have a diverse range of vocal influences, it’ll help you find your own sound.

Thirdly, once you find your voice, devote your life to developing it. Products like Singing Success or having a vocal coach near by can only do so much for you. The rest is down to you.
